Beyond Meet Space in VRChat

• We use a virtual world called Beyond Meet Space (BMS) within VR Chat to host remote attendance for this conference. 

• BMS was designed and built as part of an NSF-funded grant focused on the future of work and virtual meeting (see www.beyondmeet.space/ for more details).

• This platform is free to use--feel free to check it out on your own (search for the "BMS" world within VRChat) and use it for your own events. If you would like a demo of some of the playful and admin features we built into the space to support large group meetings, please send Robby a message (rar at msu dot edu). 

• During MXR, we video stream the physical conference space into BMS and also hold some virtual talks/events/poster sessions in the virtual world. Hence, you can choose your own (adventurous?) level of immersion and avatar-mediatedness, from VR-based rendered avatars to simple zoom-room you ("touch-up my appearance" optional).
